Translational Imaging Core

Overview of Services

The USC Translational Imaging Core supports human imaging research across the University of South Carolina and with clinical and academic partners. The Core provides access to advanced MRI resources and works with investigators throughout the research process, from study planning and protocol development to scanner access, safety training, and image acquisition.
Building on the foundation of the McCausland Center for Brain Imaging, the Core has expanded into a centralized university research resource. Its goal is to support high-quality imaging studies across neuroscience, medicine, rehabilitation, public health, and other fields that use imaging to better understand human health and disease.
Our mission is to make advanced imaging research accessible, rigorous, and collaborative. Through expert support and shared infrastructure, the Core helps investigators generate high-quality data, develop new ideas, and translate discoveries into meaningful scientific and clinical impact.
